Registered nurses at Long Beach Memorial Medical Center and Miller Children’s Hospital will hold a one-day strike Thursday, Dec.  22 to protest the hospital’s ongoing hard-line stance in contract talks on critical patient care issues and demands for substantial increases in healthcare costs for the nurses, even though the hospital’s costs for health coverage for nurses has not risen.

The Orange County Labor Federation and constituents from the 40th Congressional District visited Congressman Ed Royce's office to demand he support the extension of unemployment insurance set to expire at the end of the month.

ANAHEIM, CALIF. - December 5, 2011 - Disneyland Resort and UNITE HERE Local 11, the union representing 2,100 workers at the Resort’s three hotels, announced today that they have concluded negotiations on a mutually-agreeable, five-year collective bargaining agreement.
